Avengers: Endgame

I have been excited for this movie for months, and so it seems has the rest of the world. This 3 hour and 2 minutes movie is a milestone. It’s the film equivalent of an event comic (before event comics got watered down into cash grabs). It’s the end of the first era of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) and the first time anything of this scale has been accomplished in history. If for no other reason than to say you were a part of this moment in history, go see it. It is worth your time and money.

If you would like more details, as well as my personal thoughts and opinions on the movie, the read on true believers.

Review: Missing Link

This is going to be a short one since I’m busy today, but I felt that I should recommend to all you that you should all go see Missing Link. I know you’re probably saving money for Avengers: Endgame, believe me I am too. However, Laika has once again made a really good claymation movie and you should support.

I know all the trailers make it look like a silly, throwaway movie, but it’s surprisingly poignant. It actually shocked me with its open critique of elitism, particularly as it relates to both imperialism/colonialism and isolationism. Yes, I’m serious. Go watch it. Even if its just to see Laika show off what they’re animation chops.

DNN 39 Clues Review (Edited)

When I first experienced an ARG (Alternative Reality Game), I was young and had never even heard the term, yet I was fascinated by experiencing a story across multiple forms of media. This first ARG of mine, was the series of children’s books known as “The 39 Clues.”

A “Totally Original” Undertale Review

So, for those of you who don’t know, Undertale is a video game on Steam developed and made by  one person, Toby Fox. It is the story of your character falling into an underground world where monsters have been trapped for a very long time. Your goal: make it to the barrier and escape.

Now, it is certainly nothing new to say that this is a great game. The characters are fully fleshed out and quirky, the gameplay is crisp and a fun mix of turn-based rpg and bullet hell mechanics, the story is engaging, and its world imaginative. Obvious 9 out of 10 or even 10 out of 10.

However, I would like to add my thoughts as to why players such as myself can grow so attached to the game and why, despite loving the game, some of us can never bring ourselves to play it on our own computers again.

Spoilers ahead.
